Hello,
My name is Lindsey and I am a sophomore in the School of Architecture at Virginia Tech. I am currently going through some rough water, and I am hoping that there is someone out there who can help. My father is battling colon cancer, and can no longer afford to pay for my schooling because of his own medical bills. His dream, as well as mine, is for him to see me graduate from college one day. I am trying to finish school and complete my dream of having a college education, although we are set back financially because of all of these unexpected medical expenses. This is the only thing I want in this world. I have a passion for learning and there is nothing more that I want than to make a difference, and contribute my talents and knowledge to make this world a better place. I want to impact people's lives one day, and I have the determination to succeed.
Because of the lack of funds recently, I am forced to sell all of my belongings, even my most sentimental and cherished items online to make money to just to live. Money keeps getting tighter and tighter, as my father's condition gets worse. Even though we must go through this tough time, I have faith that God will take care of me and my father, and that He will lead others to me who can help.
I know that there are thousands of people out there who feel the same way I do about education, and who would be willing to lend a helping hand to a young girl in desperation. I see ridiculous items being sold everyday on eBay for thousands of dollars; toast, pancakes, and Doritos, and I can't help but feel that this world would be a much better place if people just put their money into what really matters in life. Please help me achieve my dream... I would be forever grateful...
