From the Pastor's Pen - Jokes Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus! You have found the website of the Darden Baptist Missionary Church in Tennessee. We are a body of Southern Baptist believers found on God's green Earth. If you are coming to our area, please take time on Sunday to worship, and we'd love to have you worship with us! We are located on 200 Darden-Christian Chapel Road in Henderson County. We are located west about 5-8 miles from Parsons. Our Service times are: Sunday Morning - Sunday School - 10:00 A.M. Sunday Night - Praise & Worship - 06:00 P.M. & Wednesday Night - Youth Programs, Worship Services- 07:00 P.M.

March 12, 2006 How do you Get to Heaven? "If I sold my house and my car, had a big garage sale, and gave all my money to the church, would that get me into Heaven?" John asked the children in his Sunday School class. "NO!" the children answered. "If I cleaned the church everday, mowed the yard, and kept everthing neat and tidy, would that get me into Heaven?" Again the answer was, "NO!" "Well," John continued, thinking they were a good bit mor theologically sophisticated than I had given them credit for , "Then, how can I get into Heaven?" A five (5) year old boy shouted out, "YOU GOTTA BE DEAD!!"

April 9. 2006 ---- The Twenty and the One! A well-worn one dollar bill and similarly distressed twenty dollar bill arrived at a federal Reserve Bank to be retired. As they moved alon the conveyor belt to be burned, they struck up a conversation. The 20 reminisced about its travels all over the world. "I've had a pretty good life," the 20 said. "Why, I have been to Las Vegas and Atlantic City, the finest restaurants in New York, performances on Broadway, and even a cruise to the Caribbean. "Wow!" said the 1 dollar bill. "You've really had an exciting life!" The 20 asks the 1, "Where all have u been?" The 1 says "Oh, I've been to the Methodist Church, the Baptist Church, the Lutheran Church...." The Twenty dollar bill interrupts, "What's a church?"
