Welcome to Dawghouse2000, as you can probably already tell this site is about dogs. In This site you will find information on just about any type of dog that you want. This site also provides a lot of information on house-breaking, training, and puppy-proofing your home for your new puppy. You may also find that I am missing information on some certain breeds of dogs. If you do find this, e-mail me telling me about the type of dog and I will be sure to add information as soon as possible.
To begin with, I will tell you a little history about dogs. Dogs come from a long line of canine families. As you probably already know, they are very closely related to the wolf. They also share a lot a characteristics with the wolf. The dog and the wolf both have very sharp teeth and their body structures are very similar. The dog actually has a very long history with humans. A long time ago, humans used dogs for many purposes including working and herding. Over the years, the dog became more of a domestic animal and is more of a companion than a working dog. Some of the herding characteristics still stay with some of the breeds these days. An example of a herding dog is a Border Collie. A Border Collie could not possibly live a full and happy life with at least some herding.
