I'll dedicate the first entry for Armenian heritage related workmanship to embroidery. My maternal grandmother, Vahide Aslanian and my mother, Marie Aslanian-Kafafian were experts in embroidery and beadwork. One of the main expertese was Aintab work.

Aintab is famous with it's stitch, it is also known as drawn-thread. From Aintab it has been introduced to Europe by Crusaders. Geometric designs are common in Aintab embroidery.
