Keanu Charles Reeves was born September 2, 1964 in Beirut, Lebanon, to Samuel Nowlin Reeves (Hawaiian-Chinese) and Patricia (English). Keanu has a sister named Kim and a half-sister named Katrina. After their parents divorced, Keanu's father was arrested for drug pocession in Hawaii. The last time Keanu saw his father was at the age of thirteen. He, his sisters and mother moved to New York. His mother married director Paul Aaron. They moved to Toronto, and Keanu is still a Canadian citizen. He describes himself as a, "middle-class white boy, with an absent father." When he was in Toronto he attended Jesse Ketchum Public School from kindergarten through the eighth grade, and attended four high schools before dropping out completely at age 17.
