I Have the Following Information: My father, né Jacob Bielikov, born Vilna, Lithuania, 1883, was the son of Glika Katzenellenbogen. I think I have her lineage but I am not sure. Will send it as soon as I have time.
I have some interesting data on Rabbi Meir K. (born 1482, died 1565), of Padua. Will send it on later. There is an error concerning date of his marriage to Hannah Mintz. You give it as 1540...but their son Samuel Judah was born
c. 1525. Please check this out!

My Own Yichus: I am a Great Great Great Great Granddaughter of Rabbi Yehezkel Landau of Prague, the Noda Byehua. I trace my Yichus through Rabbi Yehezkel Landau's son Shmuel, and then through Shmuel's son Eliezer and then through Eliezer's son Arieh Lev Landau and then through Arieh Lev Landau's daughter Dr. Carolina Landau, my Grandmother.
I Have the Following Information: I have some information about one line of descent from Rabbi Yehezkel Landau, Noda Byehuda, namely, that through his son Shmuel.

Hello, I am descended from the Bauman family of Nowy Sacz, and noted
that your paternal grandmother was a Bauman. My ggparents were
cousins, and both of their mothers were Bauman sisters. One was
Pesl Bauman, married to Bernard Brown. They lived in Beaumont
TX, before moving to Chicago. Their son was my ggfather, Sam
Brown. The other sister was Gittel Bauman--married Abraham Moses
Pensak and lived in the Lower East Side of NYC. Her daughter,
Sarah, married Sam Brown. Pesl and Gittel's parents were Abraham
Bauman and Anna Lustig Bauman.
I'm not sure if you've gone any further back with your Bauman
family, but thought perhaps you'd like to keep this information
for your records. I'm also in touch with other Bauman
researchers, I believe descended from a Herschel Bauman of Nowy
Sacz.

Comments: Interesting site. As with many families, mine has the family story that my great great grandmother Amalie BACH, geb. LANDAU, was a descendant of R. Ezekiel LANDAU. Amalie was born in about 1838 in Kempen (Posen Province). I believe her father was Haskel LANDAU of Kempen. Unfortunately, I have not been able to trace the lineage of Haskel LANDAU back to the Noda b'Yehuda, or to the lines of his LANDAU cousins. Do you have any information that relates to LANDAUs in Kempen (other than what is in The Unbroken Chain)? Thank you.
